# How to work with an adviser

Agree on a scope around a real objective, with people responsible for research and conversation.

## Agree on the scope first

Start with a real role or career direction. Agree on objectives, roles, deliverables, fees and information boundaries. Recommendation counts, deadlines and hiring outcomes are not guaranteed by default. GIL coordinates initial contact; responsibilities and service scope are clarified before starting.

## Research, sourcing and mutual assessment

Within the agreement, the adviser researches tasks and contribution evidence, finds willing participants, clarifies unknowns and conflicts, and develops reasons to talk. No suitable supply can mean no recommendation.

## Introductions, interviews and closure

Introductions follow confirmation of interest and the exact material to disclose. People and agents handle interviews, offers, onboarding and closure according to their responsibilities. Deliverables, timing and fees follow case terms.

## Prepare a conversation brief

The contact page helps you prepare and copy a brief locally in your browser. It does not automatically send a message or create an engagement. Bring your objective, current challenges, available material and the help you seek to the listed contact channel.
